MU5735 FDR Data Explorer — NTSB DCA22WA102 v1.2.0

CSV: DCA22WA102-220414-AllValidated-TableResolution.csv · 16 Hz resampled · ~12,400 rows · 160+ parameters · About the data

FDR only — recording ends ~10 min before impact. Both engine fuel cutoff switches were moved to CUTOFF at ~T−18 s (relative to end of recording). As the engines wound down, AC generators went offline and the FDR lost power. The aircraft continued in an uncontrolled dive for ~10 more minutes before terrain impact. CVR captured the full sequence but is not in this release.
Lines are forward-filled between real sample points. Parameters are recorded at their native FDR rate (16 Hz down to 0.25 Hz — see observables.md) and resampled to a 16 Hz grid by step-holding the last known value. A flat line between two points means no new data was received, not that the value was constant. Enable point markers (checkbox below) to see where actual samples occur.
Residual spikes may still appear even with "Filter invalid words" on. ARINC bus invalid words occur on an ~8s cadence but are not synchronous across parameters — each has its own phase offset within the FDR frame. Two filter branches are applied: a window-3 MAD impulse filter (k=3, Tukey 1974) for continuous parameters; and a native-sample run-length filter for discrete (encoded) parameters — short runs of the minority state (≤5 native samples, surrounded by the same state) are nulled including their forward-filled extent. Any remaining excursions between correlated parameters are residual recorder artifacts, not real events.
